Firstly you need to choose your design… In our showroom we have a variety of contemporary and traditional pieces for you to sample. You may want bedroom furniture that provides a contemporary feel with minimal lines, or you could opt for a fully upholstered headboard to bring a feeling of luxury to your space. Show us drawings or photos for inspiration and we can work with you to bring it to life!
Of course you can also combine multiple designs to create something entirely unique. There is no limit to what we can do when it comes to designer bedroom furniture.
Size:
While your bed will be the main feature for your bedroom, there are many components to consider when putting your room together. Consider bedside tables, Dressing Tables and all other types of storage solutions. Have us craft your bedroom furniture to any size (no matter how specific) so that it fits into your space the way it should.
When considering the size for your furniture, always remember to consider the height as well – it can be very handy to include extra storage.
Timber:
We predominantly manufacture our bedroom furniture in Australian Hardwood Timber. Our options include Tasmanian Blackwood, Tasmanian Oak, Victorian Mountain Ash, Western Australian Jarrah, Tasmanian Silver Wattle or American Oak. Alternatively, if you have existing furniture pieces you’d like to match, our specialist polishers can closely match tones for you as well!
Tasmanian Blackwood is a preferred timber selection due to the neutral colours it throws. This means it will suit most styles and existing timber pieces you may have.
Of course if you’d like a contemporary vibe the more delicate timbers like Mountain Ash and American Oak will provide a clean, modern feel… Especially when combined with soft linen.
Furniture + accessories…
Once you have the basics sorted, the rest of your bedroom will come together more easily. The size and timber choice for your furniture will dictate the type of linen and accessories you use. Would a rug or some wall art be suitable? Perhaps you have some room for an occasional chair?
